The board of directors of Ayatollah Amoli branch of the Islamic Azad University sat with Iran's Scientific and Industrial Research Institute in a meeting, during which they emphasized on the development of technologies related to medicinal herbs and collaboration for the purpose of publishing a professional journal in this field.
In this meeting, which was held at Research Department of Chemical Technologies of this institute, both parties stated their mutual interest regarding collaborations in the field of developing technologies practical in the field of medicinal herbs. They also emphasized on the role of the academic elites regarding the development of knowledge economy and signing collaboration agreements for conducting joint projects between the institute and the branch.
Chancellor of Ayatollah Amoli branch said:"Considering the farms of this branch dedicated to cultivating medicinal herbs and the university's capacity for cultivation of numerous kinds of these plants, and the lack of executive units in this university, the Scientific and Industrial Research Institute could support us through sharing its experience with us in the field of commercialized processing and producing herbal products."
Fazel Larijani continued: "Ayatollah Amoli branch has research centers in the field of food industry and as a major holder of medicinal herbs, we are interested in collaborating with the research Institute for exchanging new technologies and building devices for production and processing of medicinal herbs." Head of the Research Department of Chemical Technologies also expressed his positive outlook regarding the collaboration between these two organizations and said: "This institute is prepared to offer its full services and support in the fields of science, education, research, exchanging findings related to ing suitable herbs for cultivation in the university's farms and building devices for processing medicinal herbs in both pilot and industrial scales."
